Abstract
A slide type guide mechanism in which an adjusting screw member for eliminating looseness can be automatically tightened. The slide type guide mechanism includes a guidewhich is provided with a guide groovehaving a first guide side surfaceand a second guide side surfaceextending along straight lines parallel to each other, a threaded hole extending from an outer side surface of the guide toward the guide groove through the first guide side surface, a slidewhich is guided by the guide groove, a screw member threadably engaged in the threaded hole and rotated so as to urge the slide in a direction from the first guide side surface toward the second guide side surface of the guide groove, a torque applying devicehaving a spring for applying to the screw member a torque by which the screw member is rotated so as to move toward the guide groove.
