An object transport and stowage system for an aircraft () includes a transport unit () for the transport of an object () within the aircraft (). A first transfer drive system () is attached to the transport unit () and includes object engagement devices () that are engagable with the object (). A motor () is mechanically coupled to and rotates one or more of the object engagement devices ().
