Abstract
A coated article includes a glass substrate that supports a coating such as a low-E (low emissivity) coating. In certain example embodiments, the glass substrate is formed of a soda-lime-silica based glass composition manufactured using a float process. In certain example embodiments, lithium oxide (e.g., LiO) and/or potassium oxide (KO) is used in the soda-lime-silica based glass substrate in order to reduce sodium migration and/or improve surface stability. Such coated articles are useful, for example and without limitation, in architectural, vehicular and/or residential glass window applications.
