Abstract
A detector () for detecting embedded elongate objects () has an evaluating unit (), a computing device (), an output device (), and a handheld measuring head () which can be moved over a surface (F) and which has a path a detector () and a transmitting-receiving unit () with an antenna (). At least two antennae () are spaced apart from one another along the surface (F), and the distance (A) therebetween, measured over the surface (F), ranges between 5 cm and 50 cm.
