Abstract

Disclosed are azo dyes of formula (1), wherein Ris hydrogen; C-Calkyl; hydroxy-C-Calkyl; C-Calkenyl; a radical of formula (1a) —(CH)—O—(CH)—CH; a radical of formula (1b) Caryl; or C-Caryl-C-Calkyl; R3 is hydrogen; C-Calkyl; C-Calkenyl; C-Caryl; C-Caryl-C-Calkyl; or CO—R; Ris CO—R; Ris C-Calkyl; C-Calkenyl; C-Caryl; or C-Caryl-C-Calkyl; Ris hydrogen; C-Calkyl; C-Calkenyl; or C-Caryl; R, R, Rand R, independently from each other are hydrogen; or C-Calkyl; m is 1; or 2; Anis an anion; If m=1, Ris hydrogen; C-Calkyl; C-Calkenyl; a radical of formula (1a); a radical of formula (1b); C-Caryl; or C-Caryl-C-Calkyl; If m=2, Ris the direct bond; or C-Calkylene, which is optionally substituted by one or more C-Calkyl, or which is optionally interrupted by C-Carylene, —O— or —NRR—; Rand R, independently from each other are hydrogen; or C-Calkyl; and n1, n2, n3 and n4, independently from each other are a number from 0 to 5. The compounds are useful for the dyeing of organic material, preferably human hair.
