Abstract

An emergency oxygen system is provided for aircraft passengers. The system includes at least one oxygen mask (), with a sensor () for detecting at least one breathing characteristic value of a passenger using this oxygen mask (). A control unit () individually determines the oxygen requirement of the passenger on account of the detected breathing characteristic value. A dosing device () is actuated by the control unit (). The dosing device () supplies an oxygen quantity corresponding to the determined oxygen requirement, to the oxygen mask ().
