Abstract

A football down chain set for monitoring the position of a football. The chain set includes a standard having a pointer attached thereon. The pointer is spaced at a distance from the standard. The pointer gauges a position of the football. Another standard has another pointer attached thereon. The other pointer is spaced at a distance from the other standard, the other pointer gauges a position of the football. A strap interconnects the standard and the other standard. The strap is dimensioned for providing a spacing of ten yards between the pointer and the other pointer.
