Abstract

A screen systemsuitable for use in a vibratory screen apparatuscomprising: a screen elementconsisting essentially of a mesh panelprovided with first and second elongate support membersextending along opposite end portionsand a support frametherefore. The support framehas spaced apart first and second elongate frame elementsfor engagement with said screen element support membersand further elongate frame elementsextending between the first and second frame elementsfor supporting the mesh panelThe support frameis provided with at least one mesh panel supportprovided with an elevating support surface, which tensions the screen elementacross the support surfaceand between the screen element support membersThe latterand the first and second frame elementsare being formed and arranged for secure interengagement. At least one of the screen element support membersand the respective one of the first and second frame elementsis formed and arranged so that when the screen elementis tensioned by the mesh panel supportwith the support surface thereof elevated, the mesh panelis securely held under tension and the screen element support membersare driven into securely gripped interengagement with the frame elements
