Abstract

The present invention relates to a die comprising a die core () of a hard material and at least two pre-stressed rings () of increasing diameter placed around the die core and methods of making and using the same. The die core () is held in place by a force generated through deformation of mating geometric features on the die and the rings () of increasing diameter.
