Abstract

A cooling unit () for a service trolley for use in an aircraft or train. The cooling unit () includes a drawer. The drawer contains a layer of heat-insulating material () and one or more Peltier elements () located in the layer () with a warm side () facing the one side of the heat-insulating layer () and a cold side () facing the other side of the heat-insulating layer (). First fans () are provided on the cold side () of the heat-insulating layer () and second fans () are provided on the warm side () of the heat-insulating layer (). The invention furthermore relates to a service trolley provided with a cooling unit () according to the invention as well as to a rack () for a multiplicity of cooling units () according to the invention. Finally, the invention relates to an aircraft or train containing a cooling unit or service trolley according to the invention.
