Abstract

Guard electrodeswhich are electrically connected with a conductive portion of a cooling water passagethrough connection linesare respectively provided in the middle of a water inlet pipeconnected with a water inlet master pipeand a water outlet pipeconnected with a water outlet master pipein M pieces of semiconductor laser units. At this time, since the guard electrodehas a potential equal to the conductive portion of the cooling water passage, the electric current hardly flows between the guard electrodeand the conductive portion of the cooling water passage. As a result, rusting is inhibited in the M pieces of semiconductor laser units, and a clogged piping is prevented in the cooling water passage
