Abstract
Novel phosphonate compounds are provided including a phosphonoglyoxylamide ester, an α-keto phosphonophosphinate ester, a carbonylbisphosphonate analog of a nucleotide, and a diazomethylenebisphosphonate analog of a nucleotide, as well as methods of making synthetically and medically useful α-keto phosphonate compounds.
