Abstract

A disk device includes a traverse chassis () that supports a turn table () or the like, and a main chassis () that rotatably supports the traverse chassis (). The traverse chassis () has two coaxial bosses (). The main chassis () has two boss supporting portions () that support the bosses () of the traverse chassis (). Protrusions () are formed on the tips of the bosses (). The protrusions () abut against the boss supporting portions (), so as to prevent the deformation of the boss supporting portions () in the directions away from each other, with the result that the dropping of the traverse chassis () from the main chassis () is prevented.
