Abstract

Substrates comprising a photocatalytic layer containing TiOare produced using TiOparticles which may optionally be doped with metallic or non-metallic elements or compounds. The photocatalytic layer exhibits a concentration gradient of the TiOparticles. An organically modified inorganic hybrid layer may be provided between the substrate and the photocatalytic layer.
