Abstract
A marking device, in particular a hand-held marking tool for positioning markings, comprises first means () which make it possible to position the device () in a predefinable first position of a reference surface (), and second means () for leveling the device () relative to the reference surface (), as well as a tracking system () for determining a distance covered by the device () relative to the first position of the device.
