Abstract
A brush card assemblyincludes a brush card member, conductive contactsprovided on the brush card member, and brushesmounted to be electrically in contact with the conductive contacts. The assemblyalso includes brush boxassociated with each of the brushes. Each brush box includes an integral springconstructed and arranged to bias an associated brush to contact a commutator, and an integral retainerconstructed and arranged to exert pressure on the associated brush once the brush is disengaged from the commutator.
