Abstract
The present invention relates to a rear support () for a vehicle () that is to be fitted to the rear end of the body () of the vehicle () in the vicinity of a door () movable to pivot about an axis that is substantially horizontal, pivoting being enabled by at least one hinge () having a stationary portion and a portion secured to the door, said portion being movable relative to the stationary portion, the support () being shaped to receive the stationary portion of at least one hinge () and to enable it to be secured to the body (), and also to receive at least one item of functional equipment () of the vehicle ().
