Abstract
Packet data transmissions from network servers are provided to wireless communication stations via wireless communication networks. A network serverabout to transmit packet data to a wireless communication stationfirst requests the wireless stationto provide its radio transferring capabilities to the server. Based on these radio transferring capabilities, the information content to be transferred from the serverto the wireless station, via a wireless communication networkand any operatively connecting the server with the wireless network, is adapted so that the resulting packet data transmission is suitable for the radio transferring capabilities of the wireless station. This results in a reasonable transmission time in elimination of any annoying transmission delays due to bandwidth capacity problems.
