Abstract
Methods for the prevention of skin damage arising from exposure to ultraviolet or solar radiation, using lipoic acid and asorbic acid and/or ascorbic acid derivative in a dermatologically acceptable carrier that can be topically applied to the skin areas. Tocotrienol and/or an α-hydroxy acid such as glycolic acid is applied with the lipoic acid and ascorbic acid an/or its derivatives in some embodiments.
