Abstract
A longitudinal adjuster for a vehicle seat includes a displacement sensor (), which can interact with a seat rail, and a control signal emitter (), which can be displaced in relation to the displacement sensor (). The relative movement of the signal emitter () in relation to the displacement sensor () reproducing, from a starting position, the longitudinal displacement carried out. The control signal emitter () is subjected to a control torque, at the latest once the stored longitudinal position of the seat has been reached, and then controls at least one blocking element () which interacts with the seat rail by way of a control spring (). A control bearing () is arranged between the control signal emitter () and the control spring (), which guides the control signal emitter () and which supports the control spring ().
