Abstract
An electrical connector comprises an insulated housing () having a base () a plurality of conductive terminals () retained in the housing and a shielding member () assembled on the housing. The base extends along a longitudinal direction and defines a latching hole () recessed at one of lengthwise ends of thereof. The shielding member has a latching portion () extending along a mating direction of the electrical connector perpendicular to the longitudinal direction so as to be retained in said latching hole.
