Abstract

An electrical interconnection system includes a stationary board ('), a removable board (′), an electrical connector (′) interconnecting the two boards, and an actuator (′). The electrical connector has a plurality of contacts () received in a dielectric housing (), each comprising a first contact end () contacting with the stationary board and a second contact end () contacting with the removable board. The actuator includes an actuation plate (′) assembled on the connector and a driving member (′) mounted on the removable board. The driving member cooperates with and exerts a force on the actuation plate to drive the contacts move to electrically interconnect the two boards.
