Abstract
An image display device is constructed to prevent warping of a face substrate and a back substrate, can ensure the hermetic bonding of a support body, which is interposed between both substrates and is constituted of a combined body formed of a plurality of members, can easily from a large screen of the display device, and can enhance a hermetic property maintaining function. For this purpose, the support body, which is interposed between the face substrate and the back substrate and surrounds a display region, is formed of a projected parallel assembled body formed by combining a plurality of rod-like members having joining portions that cross each other at an approximately right angle. Projecting portions, which are constituted of distal end portions of the rod-like members, extend outwardly and are provided on a side of the support body outside of the display region.
