Abstract
Method of producing a nonwoven material, includes forming a web of continuous filaments on a forming member () and applying a wet- or foam formed fiber dispersion containing natural fibers and/or synthetic staple fibers on top of the continuous filaments. A fibrous web is thus formed containing continuous filaments and natural fibers and/or synthetic staple fibers, this web subsequently being hydroentangled to form a nonwoven material. Moisture is applied to the web of continuous filaments under a low pressure before laying the wet- or foam formed fiber dispersion on the web of continuous filaments, avoiding any substantial bonding between the filaments in the web.
