Abstract
The invention relates to a plug () for connection strips used in telecommunication and data technology, comprising a bottom part () and a top part () made of plastic, which are connected to each other, and at least one contact element () which can be plugged into a tapping contact of a connection strip. The bottom part () is longer than the top part () and is provided with electroplated metallic structures which form at least the contact element () and extend to the lower edge () of the bottom part (). Also disclosed is a method for producing the inventive plug.
