The present invention relates to a novel fungus ofgenus and a method for controlling soil pests using the same, more particularly to a novelHY-2 and a microbial insecticide comprising the same and a method for controlling soil pests using the same. TheHY-2 can effectively be used to control the soil pests such as Scarabaeidae.
