Abstract

An object is to provide a PTC element capable of preventing lead terminals from delaminating from an element body. This PTC elementis a PTC element comprising an element bodyin which an electroconductive filler is dispersed in a crystalline polymer, and a pair of terminal electrodesthermocompression-bonded with the element bodyin between, wherein each of the pair of terminal electrodeshas an overlapping regionoverlapping with the element bodyand a nonoverlapping regionnot overlapping with the element bodyand wherein the nonoverlapping regionof each of the pair of terminal electrodesis constructed of a succession of a wide portiona width of which is large across a direction in which the terminal electrodeextends from the element bodyand a narrow portiona width of which is smaller than the width of the wide portion
