Abstract
A commutator main bodyincludes a plurality of commutator piecesarranged along a circumference, the center of which is a rotation axis L of a motor, and a main body insulatorholding the commutator pieces. A short-circuit memberis arranged on an end portion of the commutator main bodyand includes a short-circuit conductor, which short-circuits predetermined ones of the commutator pieces, and a short-circuit insulator, in which the short-circuit member is embedded. A boss is formed integrally with the short-circuit insulator so as to project from the end portion of the commutator main body.
