Abstract
The failure detecting apparatus includes an input circuitconnected to a temperature sensorto detect various changes, for detecting the resistance of the temperature sensor, a monitor circuitconnected in parallel to the input circuitfor monitoring the failure of the input circuit, and a CPUwhich is supplied with the resistance of the temperature sensordetected by the input circuitand in detecting failure of the monitor circuit, switches its state between the inputting state receiving a signal from the monitor circuitand the outputting state sending the signal to the monitor circuit
