Abstract
A papers feeding device, comprising first and second feeding unitsandin which pickup rollersandare mounted on two or more independent shaftsanddisposed on the right and left sides of the device to be orthogonal to the carrying direction of papers P. The pickup rollersandare vertically moved independently while following up the height position of the uppermost surface of the piled papers P. The first and second feeding unitsandare connected by a plate elastic support member. The device also comprises a single optical sensorfor detecting the height position at the center of the elastic support member.
