Abstract

The system stores a storage address ADKof a page table element PEKthat was being processed when a bus reset occurred, of page table elements of a page table specified by an ORB. The system then reads out a storage address ADKof a page table element PEKhaving the same element number as PEK, of page table elements of an ORBafter the bus reset occurs, and restarts data transfer when ADKand ADKare the same. When the page table is absent, addresses DADand DADthat are specified directly by the ORBand the ORBare compared. When data transfer is not be restarted but a command CMDof the ORBhas already been issued to a device, the CMDis aborted.
