Abstract

A cellular-type wireless communications system, comprising: an airborne platform that reflects wireless communication signals; and a centralized base station associated with at least one cell, each cell corresponding to a geographic area, the centralized base station configured to send wireless communication signals to the airborne platform and receive wireless subscriber signals which have reflected down off of the airborne platform.
