Abstract
A method () and apparatus () for measuring the face angle of a golf club (), golf club head () or face component () of a golf club head is disclosed herein. The method () and apparatus () use a non-contact displacement measuring assembly () to determine the face angle. The method () and apparatus () is utilized with right-handed and left handed golf clubs (), golf club heads () and face components (). The apparatus () generally includes a base assembly (), a non-contact displacement measuring assembly (), a shaft center sensor assembly (), a base plate assembly (), a lie adjustment assembly () and a shaft support assembly ().
