Abstract
A surface mounted antenna according to the present invention includes a dielectric blocka radiating electrodeformed on one of a main surfaceof the dielectric blocka ground electrodeformed on the other main surfaceof the dielectric blockand a feed electrodeformed on a side surfaceof the dielectric blockand electromagnetically coupled with the radiating electrodeIn the present invention, since the feed electrodeis formed on the side surfaceof the dielectric blockthe size of the main surfaceof the dielectric blockcan be made smaller than that of the conventional dielectric block. Accordingly, since further miniaturization can be realized, when the dielectric blockis mounted on a printed circuit board or the like, the mounting area can be reduced as compared with the conventional dielectric block.
