A gasifier internal refractory coating has at least one region of a sintered material containing at least% by weight of chromium oxide (CrO) and at least% by weight of zirconium oxide, at least% by weight of the zirconium oxide (ZrO) being stabilized in the cubic and/or quadratic form.
