Abstract

This invention is a device () for sealing a hole () in a blood vessel (), comprising a blood vessel engager () having at least one spike (), for engaging a portion of a blood vessel () adjacent a hole in the blood vessel, and a body () coupled to the blood vessel engager (). The device () has at least two configurations, a first configuration in which the device does not seal the hole, and a second configuration to which the device can be changed so that the second configuration of the device seals the hole.
