Abstract
A lottery device has a turntablewith a plurality of ball pocketsand ballseach to be dropped onto the turntable, rolls on the turntableand eventually falls into one of the ball pocketsto determine a winner ball pocket. The lottery device includes sets of sensorsandcombined with the ball pockets, respectively, to detect the ball that has fallen into the corresponding ball pocket, light-emitting ringscombined with the ball pockets, respectively, a ball identifying mechanismfor identifying the balls by type, and a computerincluding a storage unit storing control programs and controlling lottery operations according to the control programs. The computerexecutes a control procedure including the steps of: determining a color, indicating the type of the ball identified by the ball identifying mechanism, in which the light-emitting ringemits light according to a control program, receiving detection signals provided by the sensorsandcombined with the ball pocketinto which the ballhas fallen, and causing the light-emitting ringcombined with the ball pocketinto which the ball has fallen to emit light in the predetermined color. The lottery device engrosses the players by effectively making the light-emitting ringsemit light according to the state of the lottery game to appeal the functions of the ball pocketsto the players.
