Abstract

In an engine which starts using a recoil starter, ignition chance during inertia rotation is not missed. If the engineis rotated by the recoil starter, output of a power generator which is directly connected to the engineis increased, and a CPUis reset at timing t. At timing t, if pulse Pis input from a revolution number sensorto the CPU, the CPUoutputs first ignition instructions when predetermined time Tis elapsed (t). At timing t, second pulse Pis input. At that time point, since the CPUis normally operated, ignition timing is obtained from an ignition timing mapin accordance with the revolution number calculated by a time interval between the pulses Pand P, and the ignition instructions are output at timing tin accordance with the ignition timing. Thereafter, the ignition timing is determined using the ignition timing map
