The present invention relates to a program containing a browser capable of dealing with highly functional multimedia content in a straightforward manner, and a multimedia content. A reception terminalaccesses a server on a networkcorresponding to an input URL. The serverdistributes distribution softwareto the reception terminalvia the network, the distribution softwarebeing constituted of browser softwarehaving specifications to be satisfied in order for a component to receive predetermined services, and a multimedia contenthaving a predetermined configuration. The reception terminaldisplays the distributed multimedia contenton the distributed browser. The present invention is applicable to personal computers, digital electronic home appliances and the like.
