Abstract
A power conversion apparatus is obtained which detects a mis-connection of optical fiber cables based on a difference in mode of feedback signals, and changes a phase sequence in an automatic manner only with the use of a logical composition of a microcomputer control section. A drive circuitfor driving a semiconductor deviceincludes a test signal recognition sectionthat outputs inherent feedback signalsin response to a test signalfrom a microcomputer control section. The microcomputer control sectionincludes an optical fiber mis-connection detection sectionthat detects a mis-connection state of the optical fibersbased on the inherent feedback signals. The optical fiber mis-connection detection section compares the inherent feedback signalswith the individual normal feedback signals stored beforehand, respectively, and detects a mis-connection state of the optical fiberswhen it is indicated that at least one inherent feedback signal does not coincide with a corresponding normal feedback signal.
