Abstract
A device () is provided for handling workpieces, in particular vehicle chassis () of modular construction, and having a first module with a handling line () in turn having one or several handling regions () for surface handling of the workpieces (), and a guide device () along the handling line (). A second module has one or several carriages () to which the workpieces () may be fixed and moved along the guide device (). Various types of second module may be combined with the first module to achieve various configurations of the whole device () with regard to throughput and flexibility.
