Abstract

Timer generates a first time code with a relatively high resolution. Second time code, given from a reproduction device in relation to video or music reproduced by the reproduction device, has a resolution lower than the first time code. By correcting the timer-generated first time code on the basis of the second time code, there can be generated a corrected first time code having a same over-time progression as the second time code but having a higher resolution than the second time code. Once an operator, such as a mixer, is operated at given reproduction timing of the video or music during recording, data indicative of the operation is stored in a memory along with the first time code corrected in accordance with the second time code. In reproduction, the memory is read in accordance with the first time code, corrected on the basis of the second time code.
