Abstract
An engine controllerdiscriminates defective conveyance of a sheet materialon the basis of information regarding the presence or absence of the sheet materialwhich is outputted from a TOP sensorand an ejection sensor(S), discriminates to which one of a plurality of types of defective conveyance the defective conveyance relates, and transmits information regarding the defective conveyance to an image controller. If the information regarding the defective conveyance received from the engine controlleris information showing the occurrence of a feed delay jam, the image controllertransmits a jam clear command to cancel the feed delay jam to the engine controller
