Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for improved ethanol production from xylose utilizing strain ofcomprising genes for overexpression of xylose reductase, xylitol dehydrogenase and xylulokinase, wherein in addition to said genes, one or more specific genes of a defined group is overexpressed, and/or one or more genes of a defined group is deleted.
