Abstract

A polymer melt additive that is suitable for use as a processing aid in the extrusion of a non-fluorinated polymer. The polymer melt additive composition includes a fluoropolymer that has a long chain branching index (LCBI) of at least 0.2 and a zero shear rate viscosity at 265° C. of not more than 10Pa's. The polymer melt additive may additionally include other compounds such as, polyoxyalkylene polymer or polycaprolactone.
