Abstract
In order to perform diversity reception efficiently without increasing the scale of the apparatus, when the total number of simultaneously connected cells has reached N cells including an HSDPA serving cell a control sectionkeeps a switchconnecting a buffer-to a despreading section, and conversely, when the total number of simultaneously connected cells has not reached N cells including an HSDPA serving cell, after completion of despreading and delay profile generation for the simultaneously connected cells performed for the received signal of an antenna #, control sectionswitches switchto connect a buffer-to despreading section. By means of this switching control, diversity reception is performed for an HSDPA serving cell only when the total number of simultaneously connected cells has not reached N and there are free resources.
