Abstract
A nucleic acid comprising a nucleotide sequence encoding a lysin, which nucleotide sequence comprises the sequence shown in SEQ ID No. 1 or a variant, homologue or derivative thereof. A novel lysin obtainable from a bacteriophage capable of colonising, and the use thereof as a medicament for the treatment of a disorder associated with pathogenicbacteria, for example.
