In a vehicle seat, in particular a motor vehicle seat, a sensor device () is arranged between the superstructure of the vehicle seat and the seat rail () of the vehicle seat, in order to measure forces transmitted from the superstructure into the seat rail (). The sensor device () can be positioned at least partially inside the seat rail ().
