Abstract

A dual-mode GUI () is disclosed which includes a source timeline () and a manual editing timeline () within a common editing window (). This arrangement enables the user to maintain a contextual appreciation of relationships () between a parent clip () and a related child segment () throughout an iterative editing process ().
