Abstract
A digital transmission device for dynamically allocating bandwidth comprises a plurality of peripheral cards, that require different amounts of system bandwidth, and an allocation module. The allocation module is connected to the plurality of peripheral cards by transmission channels and assigns incremental bandwidths to the cards based upon the size of the cards' payload to be transmitted.
